Nicholas Boutet was a French gunsmith who made ornate pistols decorated with precious metals and hand-carved grips of exotic woods. He made pistols for Napoleon and other high-ranking officials, as well as designs for the army. Our Versailles replica is made in the style of Boutet with historically authentic details. A matched pair of original Boutet dueling pistols was recently offered online with an asking price of $18,000.
